And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”  Luke 22: 19 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” John 20:25 Its been an odd time for Bethel, hasn’t it.  While things are slowly ‘opening up’, and we’ve been able to do more together, … Read more

I am about to do a new thing;     now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness     and rivers in the desert.  (Isaiah 43:19)   A few weeks ago I was at a social event with a friend of mine from wayyyyy back.  She and I used to work together a long time ago and even though both of us have moved on from that job, we’ve stayed in touch.  It was a small group – small groups, after all, are the only safe ones, but I was the only … Read more

Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4) Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7: 7,8) This week, I’ve had a couple of funny conversations with people.  Now, bear in mind that I’m really not a ‘sporty’ kind of person.  Maybe its why these conversations caught my attention.  Regardless, the scenarios I’m going to reiterate … Read more
